Dear Greg & Jodie, Thank you for an “almost like home” place to stay during a stress-filled time in our lives. Serenity House Network provided us a comfortable, cozy atmosphere. Some of our friends go to Florida or Arizona for the winter. Linda and I went 200 miles east to Rochester, MN for six weeks!

Our living here in the Serenity House Network homes has been a total joy. We call it our “home”. The first two weeks at the Lottie Apartment in Henry House went smoothly — even with 15″ of snow one morning. Greg and his crew came early and blew us out. Great job Greg!

The last four weeks at City View Sanctuary went by very fast. The morning walk in the wind woke us up but did not freeze us too hard. Great location!!

The total six weeks with Serenity House Network, Mayo Clinic, and Rochester were a very pleasant experience that Linda and I both enjoyed. We became “family” with fellow radiation recipients, Mayo staff, and the other people living near us.

You turned a difficult reason for coming here into a GREAT experience!

Serenity House Network is one more on our list of much to be grateful for every day in our Cancer Challenge. I appreciated the very clean and homey feeling. Every night, when I returned alone to a dark house, I felt safe and comfortable.

During two different snow events, I so much appreciated a “magically” clean sidewalk and driveway. Thanks Greg! I also appreciated the parking pass and guide to home deliveries from local restaurants.

Since our cancer diagnosis, our lives have not been our own and the efforts of Serenity House Network to meet our needs that literally changed daily were amazing!

Serenity House Network is an answer to our prayers.

We are very fortunate to have come across Serenity House Network. My mother came to Mayo Clinic for an aortic valve replacement and a triple bypass as well as a kidney tumor removal. We needed a place to stay for about 6 weeks and didn’t want to stay too long at a hotel during her stay and recovery from her surgery.

Staying at Holly’s House and Sunny Place Cottage has been a truly comforting experience. We had a chance to rest and gather as a family while being away from home. Our home is halfway across the globe in Indonesia.

I wish SHN the very best. All your future guests will be very fortunate to have your hospitality in the future. May God bless you and your ministry for many, many, many years to come!

Serenity House Network has been one of our Guardian Angels over the past 3 years. In 2014, we stayed at the Sunny Place Cottage Julianna Apartment while I (Julie) had my stem cell transplant.

In March 2016, my husband, Gary, was diagnosed with Mulitple Myeloma. His doctor in Duluth referred Gary to Mayo Clinic for his stem cell transplant. As soon as I knew the dates we would need to be in Rochester I called Serenity House Network to schedule housing during our stay. We were so excited to hear that the James Apartment at Sunny Place Cottage was available. It was like coming home. We knew Jodie and Greg and knew we would be in good hands. We knew the area around the apartment which was a comfort. It is so comforting to have a safe and homey place to live while away from home for so long.

Thank you to all the Serenity House Network staff for everything! You are like family. Greg was wonderful when a big snowstorm hit Rochester. Thank you for clearing the snow so we could get to our appointments on time.

There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude for providing this type of housing option during a stressful health recovery.

Dear Tara and Serenity House Network,

We are so very grateful for having the opportunity to be “at home” while we were away from our home. It was a great joy to stay at a place where the people providing the home and services really, truly care about what they (you) do.

Tara, your personal story about your great struggles is a testament to your character. You are a very gracious and kind person. We enjoyed you and Jay so much. Jay was very helpful when he agreed to leave his Super Bowl party to stop over and reset a breaker which had tripped.

The home was very well set up and totally accessible. I am in a wheelchair. This allowed me to cook for Pam (my wife) who had gone through a liver transplant.

We found out in October 2016 that we were going to have to stay in Rochester for 90 – 100 days. So we began to look for options of places to stay. Because of the length of time, we knew that a place that we could make a temporary home was our best bet. My daughter found the Serenity House Network online and that seemed like a good fit for us and our family that would visit us. We miss our home terribly but SHN made our stay so much better. It felt like our home away from home. The staff was so nice and made us feel like family – especially around Christmas and Valentine’s Day when we received little gift packages.
