My name is Lisa Turner. I was a living liver donor for my husband Jamie. My husband and I and our caregiver are all so thankful we decided to stay at the Serenity House Network Sierra apartment during our stay. It is clean and well set up and enough space for everyone to recuperate and rest, yet large enough that our kids could stay with us over Christmas break and be here for our surgery.

We drove to Rochester on our son’s birthday and SHN had a birthday goodie basket waiting and brought him a cake!

We also appreciated having a washer and dryer, fans in the bedrooms (a lifesaver for my husband!), and a rice cooker for my mom:-). We highly recommend staying here if you need to be close to Mayo Clinic.

From Grand Forks, ND to Rochester, MN:

My husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on August 18, 2017. We were sent to Mayo where it was decided that he needed an autologous stem cell transplant and to plan on coming back for a 6-8 week stay. Thank goodness my best friend in New Hampshire found the Serenity House Network website. From the beginning to the end every person associated with SHN was phenomenal! Such a kind, caring and genuine group of people.

The lower level of the Brigid Apartment was perfect for us. It quickly became our home away from home. There was a beautiful little Christmas tree which was wonderful! Our place was very quiet, cozy, and comfy which was important to both of us.

This was the longest I’ve ever been away from home in my 53 years, so having this place was such a blessing. Thank you to the entire SHN team for making this journey so much easier.

God is Good!

Serenity House Network has been the best place to stay. We were close to Mayo and needed to be there twice a day for a few weeks. My husband was here for a Stem Cell Transplant and he had quite a few bad days. Staying here at the SHN Twin Pines house made it much better. Our daughter came from Colorado to stay with us for 2 weeks and being here made it feel like home. It has everything you need here. We would definitely recommend any of the Serenity House Network properties for a place to stay!

The staff is awesome! Greg, Jodie, and June Ann are warm and friendly with such kind hearts. Absolutely love how the apartment is decorated with all the references made to our Lord!!

The stay was comfortable and in a very convenient location. If we ever have to come back we would definitely stay at a Serenity House Network property again. Thanks for all you do. God Bless!

We came on the 1st- left the 27th. We LOVED having a “Home” to come to. If we ever have to stay for a long time again, we’d plan to stay at one of the Serenity House Network properties.

From the minute I booked the James apartment, I felt at peace with my decision. I felt confident on the cleanliness and felt total honesty from Greg and the information he provided.

The day we moved in, it was raining and already getting dark at 4:00 PM. We started to settle in and I turned on the lamps. I immediately felt at home and cozy. That feeling continued throughout our stay. My favorite thing was being able to spend time outside on the deck. We also enjoyed the swing after our walks.
