We found out with less than 1 week notice that we were getting a kidney transplant. Thankfully Serenity House Network had a space for us! We have truly enjoyed Brigid apartment. We felt very comfortable and feel very blessed to have stayed here. Thank you Greg and our “house mom” for all of your hospitality! Loved the bread!!

In November of 2017 my then 25 year old son was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After going through chemo back home in Superior, WI the cancer came back. At that point the doctors decided a stem cell transplant was the best course of treatment. We were presented with a long list of places to stay in Rochester, and I knew we wanted to stay somewhere that would feel as close to home as possible. After finding Serenity House Network and talking to Greg, I knew this would be the perfect fit. Everyone at SHN has been so kind and helpful. If anything was needed in regards to the apartment, they took care of it.

When my son and I first arrived, we stayed at the Scott apartment. Our anticipated date of departure had changed and Greg was extremely accommodating in finding us another place to stay at the Quincy apartment. We had to be in Rochester over Christmas. I’ve never, in 50 years, had to spend Christmas away from family. Greg made sure there was a tree up in our apartment. I hope he knows how grateful I was for that kind gesture. My sister, nephew and mom who live in the Cities, passed on going up north to spend Christmas with the family to come to Rochester so my son and I would not be by ourselves.

I would highly recommend SHN to anyone who needs a beautiful place to stay. The accommodations are above and beyond. Greg, June Ann, and the whole SHN team are the BEST!

We loved this house. It met every expectation we had. I had a kidney transplant on December 31. My husband was my donor. We each had our own caregiver and we had plenty of room for 4 adults. After surgery my toddler visited me with 2 family members and we still had enough room. My personal favorites are the awesome recliner, high speed internet, and super clean sheets and towels.

Overall, renting this place was the best thing we did. Love the Serenity House Network team, they were very professional. Highly recommend this for patients and their family.

My husband’s journey with brain cancer began on October 27th, 2018. We knew we needed to act quickly after his tumor debulking surgery in Iowa City to decide on a facility for him to receive his chemo and radiation. Mayo Clinic was quickly our #1 choice! Upon learning we would need to be in Rochester for 6 weeks, we wanted to stay in a family friendly spot with some pleasures of home. We lucked out with the Serenity House Network!

Spending the holidays here with our three children (ages 11, 7, & 4) was so precious to Dain and I. SHN gave us a Christmas tree and we attended the Holly Jolly Trolley ride to view local Christmas light displays. We ate Christmas dinner at the Hunan Garden, and we took the kids to the inflatable building called House of Bounce. Our housemother Meredith was terrific. She checked in with me often to see what questions we had if any. She even brought me a birthday cake and ice cream gift card-such a thoughtful caring woman!

6 weeks is a really long time to be away from home, but this apartment was such a blessing for us during such a difficult time.

Staying at Serenity House Network, Quincy apartment, during our ten days of testing at Mayo has been very helpful. I don’t know how, nor if my son and I could have done this stay at a hotel. Being near the lake and Quarry Hill parks have been wonderful for getting away from the stress and pressures of visiting the clinic. Its been like a home, not a hotel, and really helped reduce stress. Thank you for providing a place where we could cook our special diets, keep our unusual hours, and have privacy.

Great home away to heal. Wonderful time in Rochester at Serenity House Network.

We have been telling our family and friends about the joys of Serenity House Network. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. The staff were always marvelous during my month long stay here. God bless you all. We will always remember you with appreciation. You made our stay here much more “do-able”.

This is a very nice home to relax and recover in. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Very clean with nice furnishings available for our use. Just a very pleasant place, I can’t say enough about Serenity House Network.

As a caregiver to a kidney transplant patient, this home felt warm and inviting after a long day of appointments when rest was needed. The kitchen was very user friendly with everything easily at ones fingertips. This home is perfectly located for hospital visits, shopping, fuel, and a wonderful church called Autumn Ridge that I had the opportunity to visit one Sunday.
