Quincy Apartment 2026: Transplant Lodging for Mayo Clinic Patients Rochester MN
The Quincy Apartment at Johnston House has been our home for over 3 months, nearly 4. We were here for my son’s stem cell transplant. His younger brother was the donor. Thank you, SHN, for being flexible when our time frames were uncertain. We celebrated Thanksgiving (thanks for the pumpkin pie), Christmas, New Year’s and the birthdays of all 3 of our kids here. We also recently celebrated our son being cancer-free. Having a home to live in made this experience much more comfortable. Thanks for taking such good care of us SHN! We have recommended you to some friends that have a transplant coming up in March. Thank you for your kindness!
Mae Apartment 2026: Stem Cell Transplant Housing Rochester MN
We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Serenity House Network. So very friendly and down to earth. Love the Christian foundation it stands on. Mae’s Apartment was so warm and cozy during the cold weather. Such a nice, close apartment to come back to after going to appointments every day while we were here for my husband’s stem cell transplant. Greg was correct when he said we would be here for 5 weeks after the transplant using my husband’s own cells. The wonderful cinnamon chip bread was so welcoming at the beginning of our stay and Nicole, the House Mom (SHN Volunteer), was so thoughtful checking in on us and sending warm thoughts and healing prayers. Thank you all so much for being so kind and caring. It’s calming to know you are here for the families that need to come to Rochester and the Mayo Hospital. Hoping to not have to come back but we will definitely be calling on you if we need to make a stay again! Thanks again, Prayers of Gratitude,
Sierra Apartment 2026: Medical Lodging for Radiation Patients Rochester MN
Home away from home is what Serenity House Network provided for us. We were required to be in Rochester for 5 weeks in order to receive Proton Beam radiation to treat my colorectal cancer. One of the most difficult things about a treatment course of that duration has been being 5 hours away from home and family. The Sierra Apartment provided us a cozy, healing space. It allowed family to come to us as though it was “normal”. Our kids had space to play. Whether it was doing puzzles or working remotely, it allowed us the space to be comfortable in a way that would be impossible in any other setting. The process of my medical treatment has been uncomfortable. Everything in the Sierra Apartment has been exactly what we needed, even when we didn’t know we needed it! The Serenity House Network staff were reliable and responsive! Setting up accommodations was easy and moving in was friendly. The House Mom was friendly and helpful. Our children appreciated the quilts from Project Linus! Overall, the Serenity House Network provided comfort during uncomfortable treatment, reliability in an uncertain and scary time, and a home instead of a house!
Thank you for everything!

God has been so good to our family. My sister-in-law had a cancer tumor removed and we were here to help with her recovery. Her sister’s husband was here as well but had to leave a little earlier.
God was with my sister-in-law. At age 74 this was a very big deal. So many friends and family have prayed and God answered. Thank you for your loving heart to follow God’s will for your lives.

The Lord always amazes me. My sister-in-law needed to come to Mayo for surgery and we needed a place to stay and help her after surgery. The apartment was just what we needed. It worked out just great. Thank you for your work you do.
On November 17th, 2025, our 11 year-old daughter received a heart transplant!
There are many stressors that are created with such a serious surgery. Dottie’s Place made the process much easier to digest and became a our home away from home.
Due to the timing of the transplant, we celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s here. Our “House Mom” (SHN Volunteer) was great and brought us pie and treats to help celebrate.
SHN was the best option for us versus a hotel or Airbnb due to the cleanliness of the home. Post transplant immune systems are very sensitive and having a place that was properly cleaned helps avoid any illnesses that may prolong recovery.
The proximity to St. Mary’s Hospital and Mayo Clinic made the daunting number of appointments we had to attend, easy to navigate.
Between the amazing staff at Mayo and the Serenity House Network, our daughter was able to be home 9 weeks after receiving the “Heart Call” which was beyond our expectation! We are so grateful and will be recommending Serenity House Network to all who would benefit in the future.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Thank you, Brent and SHN, for making our Mayo journey so much easier. At the end of the day, and sometimes between appointments, it was so nice to have a place to come “home” to rest and relax. This made Donn’s transplant recovery so much easier. The convenience of being so close to Mayo, great restaurants and Apache Mall made our stay much, much better. Thank you, Brent, for bringing us the Cinnamon Chip bread. We enjoyed that so much we bought another 10 loaves to eat here and to bring home to family and friends!
Thanks again for everything!

What a blessing SHN is and has been to our family. Having a place to call home while Jake was receiving treatment for 5 weeks was such a gift. Our family was able to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s together and keep many of our favorite holiday traditions in place because of our lovely space. Our kids were happy to be able to spend winter break with their dad and have a little sense of normal with a place we could call our home away from home. We will forever be grateful for SHN and the staff for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay.
Blessings,

“What a nice place! Well-equipped & clean. Greg & his crew were very accommodating. When things weren’t going the best, we were able to extend our stay with zero trouble. Made going through the transplant a little easier.
Thanks for everything,
