Neighborhood Nook is a private home with updates in 2022. The Neighborhood Nook is located in a residential neighborhood a few minutes from Mayo Clinic. This fully furnished home has all living space on the main floor. In addition to the living room, dining room, 4 season porch, and bedrooms on the main floor, there is also a laundry room on the lower level. One detached garage stall with remotes is included. The living room also includes a beautiful gas fireplace.

Neighborhood Nook House 2023: Fully Furnished Home For Mayo Clinic Patient And Family In Rochester, MN
It is a privilege to be the first guests to write about this house. We arrived here 5 weeks ago. We were nervous and apprehensive about John’s treatments but also knowing there would be adjustments in our new surroundings. From the first moment of walking in the front door and removing our shoes we felt this was going to be more than a house for the next several weeks, it was going to be home.
Everyone from the Serenity House Network staff and especially Brent and Yvette were helpful and caring towards our needs and questions. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs and we spent many hours sitting in the porch room watching the squirrels feeding and play (just like we do back home). We have been able to see some beautiful snowfalls and love the fireplace which we turned on daily.
We encourage everyone staying here to read the “Jesus Calling” daily devotional and highly recommend reading “Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire” that’s found on the bookshelf here.
Our hope and prayer for the families that follow is that they will find the comfort and peace within these walls that we did. Each of us come to Mayo Clinic because something is wrong and we are looking for answers- for hope. Each of us carry our fears, doubts and anxious moments. We found this little house can become a sanctuary; a place of rest and peace to return to at the end of the day.
